Customer Policy   The Artige Company makes every effort to treat each client individually, so we customize our research and consulting to match every client's unique needs. This stems from the fact that both OR and IT deal with systems, and all research on systems to date has been explanatory (non-empirical). Since there is no empirical theory covering systems, it is not possible to develop a consistent methodology to solve process related quandaries. Unfortunately, we see many frameworks published as an attempt to productize OR and IT concepts, such as six sigma and BPM. At the Artige Company, we make no bones about the fact that these frameworks are based on inference, which may apply to some situations, but in no way will apply to all companies. One cannot escape the fact that OR and IT work must be customized to each client's business, if the resulting process changes are to be plausible and profitable. If this were not the case, then Peter Drucker's maxims would dictate that your business would fail due to a lack of core and unique competencies.

Certfication Policy   The Artige Company does not offer any certificates with its training courses. We will happily provide proof of attendance and references when a seminar participant requests us to do so. Neither do any of our principals actively pursue certification. We do hold degrees of varying levels from colleges and universities that we actually attended and physically sat through classes. Yet this does not in any way certify that we can provide knowledge that you can profit from. Rather, we rely on our past performance as proof that we can deliver on our contracts, and provide knowledge that is profitable to you. This policy was written as a reaction to the overuse of certification, having seen for ourselves that rote learning can only get you so far.
